  • Fire-ED is intentionally developed around guided prevention scenarios that link actions to consequences. The result is greater awareness of fire risk and more effective outreach. It is built for sustained, repeatable use within existing operations.

  • Fire-ED is implemented across varied community environments. Its adaptable format ensures clear and consistent messaging, whether delivered by firefighters, prevention staff or trained community facilitators.

  • Fire-ED operates under fire service leadership. The department maintains authority over messaging, scheduling, and community alignment, ensuring prevention education reflects local standards and priorities.

  • Fire-ED adapts to departments of all sizes. It can remain streamlined for focussed outreach or expand into a more structured prevention approach as capacity, partnerships, and community needs evolve.

Centralized Access. Delivery Coordination.

The Community Facilitator Hub functions as a secure, private platform where approved members create individual accounts and access program materials. Each facilitator and fire service representative operates within a shared, structured environment designed for Fire-ED content delivery. The Hub acts as a distraction-free space focused solely on program implementation and sharing best practises. Unlike open social platforms, it is purpose-built for housing lesson materials, structured updates, and ongoing support from staff at Fire-ED Headquarters. Members maintain individual profiles, enabling organized communication and role clarity. Eliminating email back-and-forth, the Hub prevents version confusion, supports aligned delivery across classrooms and facilitators — all while maintaining fire service authority and program integrity.

Structured Content.
Consistent Messaging.

The Facilitator Toolkit provides a structured instructional framework designed to engage learners in classroom settings. Lesson outlines, discussion prompts, and activity materials are organized to ensure consistent delivery while allowing facilitators to adapt to local context. Content is aligned with fire service prevention objectives and focuses on clear, repeatable messaging. This reduces preparation time while maintaining instructional integrity across multiple classrooms, facilitators, and delivery schedules. The Toolkit includes printable resources, guided discussion questions, classroom activities, and reinforcement materials that support both in-class engagement and follow-up learning. Materials are structured to ensure prevention messaging remains accurate, practical, and grounded in real-world fire risk.

Risk Recognition.
Safer Decision Making.

Interactive Storyboards anchor the learning experience through structured, scenario-based engagement. Students work through realistic situations in familiar environments, identifying hazards, evaluating choices, and discussing potential outcomes. This guided, decision-based format shifts prevention education from passive listening to active participation. Students are encouraged to recognize risk factors, think critically about consequences, and rehearse safer choices within a controlled classroom setting. Each storyboard reinforces key prevention principles while supporting consistent facilitation. Scenarios are designed to prompt discussion, reflection, and application — increasing both comprehension and long-term retention. By focusing on practical decision-making rather than abstract rules, the program strengthens real-world risk recognition and safer behavior patterns among youth.
